Engineering
Detailer
Turn the engineered model into LOD 400 work instructions the bay can build. The engineers own the design. You make it buildable.
The Work
- Build the LOD 400 shop model from the engineered Revit design.
- Detail connections, openings, lifts, pieces, and the work sequence the bay needs.
- Keep the shop model on the revision quality released. An older file is not the job.
- Ask engineering when the design does not build. Do not guess a connection.
- Put instructions on the floor that a fitter can use without a meeting.
You Have Done This
- You have detailed structural steel or modular buildings for a fabrication shop.
- You work in Revit at shop-detail level, not only at design level.
- You know the difference between an LOD 300 review model and an LOD 400 production model.
- You have watched your details get built and corrected the ones that did not work.
