HR Generalist
The HR person for a small company. Hiring, the records, and the people questions. You are not a second production manager, and there is no HR department behind you.
The Work
- Hire against the open roles on this page.
- Run the new-hire steps for a shop that has a QMS and a safety rule.
- Keep the handbook, the files, and the records that have to exist.
- Answer the people questions managers should not be inventing answers to.
- Stay out of the bay’s production decisions. That is not this job.
You Have Done This
- You have been an HR generalist in a plant, a contractor, or a fabricator.
- You have hired skilled trades and salaried staff.
- You know which employee records have to be kept, and you keep them.
- You can tell a manager no when the answer is no.
