Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory
Receive material against the job, know what is in the bay, and ship a finished module with the records and the insignia that match it.
The Work
- Receive steel, panels, equipment, and coatings against the purchase order and the job.
- Keep an inventory the floor can trust: what is here, what is short, and what is still coming.
- Stage material to the bay that is waiting on it.
- Ship only a module quality has released, with the right insignia and the paperwork for that state.
- Protect the module in the yard and on the way out. Damage found at the site is a miss.
You Have Done This
- You have run receiving and shipping for a fabricator or a modular plant.
- You have kept inventory that matched what was actually on the floor.
- You have dealt with oversized shipments, or you have worked beside the people who permit and move them.
- You will not load a module because the truck is in the yard.
