Steel Fabrication Manager
Run fit-up, weld, and assembly for steel buildings, interlocking-panel modules, and skids. The released model is the work. The ship date is the work.
The Work
- Run the fabrication bays: fit-up, weld, and assembly.
- Build what engineering released. The floor does not invent a second design.
- Sequence modules, plan the lifts, and keep the work moving in the order the ship date needs.
- Hold weld quality with the Certified Welding Inspector before a joint is closed, coated, or covered.
- Staff the floor and remove work that is being improvised.
- Own the fabrication date. A late module does not count.
You Have Done This
- You have run a steel fabrication floor, not only worked a station on one.
- You have built modular steel buildings, skids, or prefabricated modules.
- You can read a released model and build what it says.
- You have managed fitters and welders, including the ones who are not keeping the standard.
- You have hit a ship date without skipping the inspection that makes the module legal.
